Our worst enemy: A conversation on self-sabotage

For years, I struggled to give myself credit for my accomplishments. Even after reaching important milestones like graduating and becoming licensed in my career, I found ways to minimize my success by comparing myself to others or convincing myself I could have done better. Looking back, I realize that my own negative thoughts were stealing joy from some of life's most meaningful moments. Learning to recognize self-sabotaging patterns has taught me the importance of self-kindness, gratitude, and allowing myself to fully celebrate the achievements I've worked so hard for.

Do We Owe Our Parents Anything?

I am grateful for everything my parents have done for me, and I believe they played a role in many of my accomplishments. However, gratitude does not mean I owe them my entire life. While I value their wisdom and support, the decisions I make are ultimately mine. Success is something we work for ourselves, and true happiness comes from creating a life that aligns with our own values and dreams not simply living according to someone else's expectations.
