From Survival Mode to Abundance

For much of my life, I have found it easier to care for others than to care for myself. Whether it's speaking up for my needs, accepting compliments, or even buying something small that would make me happy, I often convince myself that I don't deserve it. Over time, I realized that constantly putting myself last was affecting my confidence and happiness. Learning to advocate for myself, challenge negative thoughts, and stop living according to other people's expectations has become an important part of my personal growth. This journey is about recognizing my own worth and giving myself permission to enjoy life without guilt or fear of judgment.

Rewriting Our Self Image

There was a time when I hated looking at myself in the mirror. Instead of appreciating who I was, I focused on everything I believed was wrong with me. Looking back, I realize how unfair I was to the younger version of myself—a little girl who deserved kindness, confidence, and self-love. Today, I am learning to embrace my features, let go of unrealistic standards, and accept that there is only one version of me in this world. This journey is about more than appearance; it's about finding freedom, authenticity, and the confidence to be myself without fear of judgment.

Lealtad Familiar vs. Propio Amor

For much of my life, I trusted my family completely and believed they always wanted the best for me. Over time, I learned that not everyone who is close to us will support our dreams or celebrate our successes. Sometimes, jealousy, criticism, and negativity can come from the people we least expect. While those realizations can be painful, they also teach us how to recognize the people who genuinely care about our well-being. Through life's challenges, I have learned that God often places new people in our path—people who encourage us, guide us, and eventually become family in their own way.

Religion vs. Spirituality

Religion vs. Spirituality

My faith has always been an important part of my life, but my relationship with religion is more complex than simply attending church. Over the years, I have learned to separate my beliefs from the actions of others within religious communities. While negative experiences with people can sometimes make faith feel challenging, they have never taken away my connection with God. Instead, my spirituality and faith have helped me navigate difficult seasons, find guidance during uncertainty, and become the person I am today. This reflection explores the balance between faith, religion, and maintaining a personal relationship with God despite life's challenges.
